Ah, shopping. One of the great joys in life. But being curvy can make shopping a nightmare if you don't know wear to shop and what styles work on a more voluptuous form. So lets start with styles, and begin with tops.
1. Tank tops: Go for thicker straps, and avoid spaghetti straps if you can. Thicker straps take up more space across your shoulders, giving the illusion of slighter shoulders. Plus, thicker straps make it easier to hide bra straps.
2. basic Ts: V-Necks and scoop necks make your neck look longer, thus making you look a bit less top-heavy. And never go for cap-sleeves; they bunch up on your shoulders and will make your upper arms look even bigger. Go for tops that have sleeves that go down to at least the midpoint between elbow and shoulder.
*rule for all tops: Make sure they are LONG ENOUGH! Wearing tops that are too short or don't at least hit right at your hips will make your torso look shorter, thus making you "cushier" on top.
3. Tube tops: Only venture with these if you have the right bra, and only if the top has a sweetheart neckline (the neckline will look like the top of a heart).
Check back later for what kind of bottoms and dresses that will play up your curves and have you looking fabulous!
